Services Aquamation

What is aquamation?

Aquamation is the process of dissolving a body with water.

This fire-free technique, known as alkaline hydrolysis, combines heat and alkalinity with circulating water to accelerate dissolution. The animal is deposited in a device that reduces the matter to soluble organic and mineral components, without the water boiling. An aquamation cycle takes 1 day. This slow process reduces CO2 emissions into the atmosphere.

At the end of the process, only the bones remain. Once dehydrated, they can be reduced to ash, as in traditional cremation.
